Imran and Ranbir enter as Cool and Dude Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor have just made a super cool entry. They both drove in on a funky bike with names Cool and Dude. Just before their entry, Karan Johar said, “SRK has given a cold shoulder to the function and Saif thought it’s unsafe to be here. So apart from me there are two cool dudes who will be hosting the show.” The audience cheered when the hot dudes appeared in a cool manner. Abhishek Bachchan couldn’t stop himself from standing up and cheering for them too. Bong babe Konkona Sen Sharma has just joined the cool dudes Ranbir and Imran on stage and then came the little star Darsheel Safary claiming to be the future of Indian Film Industry. Darsheel missing Kareena, couldn’t bring Aamir along Child actor Darsheel Safary will be giving a surprise performance. He says he has seen Slumdog Millionaire and liked the kids in the film. When we asked why he didn’t get Aamir along? About the awards she says, “I don’t want to pressurize myself, I have done my best, given my best performance. Now I just want to sit and enjoy the Filmfare Award night. Koena Mitra has just arrived and unlike most who wore Black for the starry night, she preferred to keep it White. Her dress is designed by an Australia based designer Rajat. She is wearing a flared outfit as she thinks “volume is in”. After being missing from parties and events for sometime now, Tabu has made it to the Filmfare Award night. Music of Vashu Bhagnani’s film to be launched at Filmfare Awards today Vashu Bhagnani’s son Jaccky Bhagnani is all set to perform on the Filmfare stage. “I am very excited. This is also the first time that we are launching a film’s music ( Kal Kisne Dekha ) at an award function,” said Bhagnani. “We won’t miss Shahrukh and Saif.” – Sushmita Sen Sushmita Sen has arrived with her mother. Sush is wearing a Black gown designed by Gauri and Niharika which she describes as “very me”. When asked about whom she thinks will win she said, “May the best man win.” When asked about the new hosts she said, “We won’t miss Shahrukh and Saif. We don’t look back, we look forward. But Ranbir and me are going to be good and no naughtiness like Shahrukh and Saif. We will not insult anyone. (laughs)” Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar hopeful for Farhan Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar have just walked in. She is wearing a beautiful Anuradha Wakil’s outfit. She says, “As a mother I am very proud of Farhan as he has been nominated in two categories.” When asked about who she wants to win, Shabana said she has no particular favourite but hopes Farhan wins. Javed Akhtar tells us, “I have seen Farhan perform before but it would be special to see him perform on stage for Filmfare Award. It will be fun to see Ranbir and Imran host the show together.” Though he has been nominated in the lyricist categories Javed Akhtar says, “I’ll be cheering for Farhan and other nominees.” Performances to look forward to... The musical toli of Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy are going to rock the stage with their super hit songs while Shahid Kapoor is all set to groove to a peppy medley. Rockstar Farhan Akhtar is already gearing up for his first ever act at any award show. The oomphalicious Katrina Kaif will put up a scintillating show and eye candy Abhishek Bachchan will shake a leg too. Hottie Bipasha Basu is another attraction to look forward to. Farhan Akhtar’s Magik Band to perform tonight Farhan Akhtar has just arrived looking his smashing best in a Black Tuxedo designed by Arjun Bhasin, tie and black pants. “I'm really excited to be here. I've been nominated in the Best Singer category. I didn't think it would happen, but it's not like I didn't hope it would. Rock On has been nominated in various categories. I hope to bag all those awards. And if I don't, I won't be resentful”, says Farhan He has come in early to practice as this is his first performance at any award function. Wife Audhuna will be joining him soon. "We are also performing - The Magik Band - let's hope we make some magic! About who should win the Best Actor award considering all his friends are nominated, Farhan says, "I'll be happy if any of them win. We are here just to have a good time, so I'm here to do just that!" Farhan feels A Wednesday and Jodhaa Akbar are his toughest competitors. Shahid's performance to watch out for Choreographer Shiamak Davar says Shahid's performance is one to watch out for... "Shahid is my baby, he's made his physique and looking so good. I'm proud of him. Even Abhishek Bachchan is special. I've baby sat him... and to see them all doing so well, it's fantastic!" Shankar, Ehsaan Loy come in... They are the men in black for tonight, sporting glares to go with their all-black attire. And just where is Shankar Mahadevan? "Oh, he's at some gig somewhere," they tell us. Nominated for 'Music Direction' for 'Rock On!!', Loy says, "The music in the film is not conventional. It's niche. But let's see what happens tonight. A few surprises will be good." Their toughest competitor? "Well, everybody's a good bet. But with Rahman having brought the Oscar home, he's the favourite of course, we assume he'll win. And he's genuinely a great professional and good human being. So as long as someone good wins, we really don't mind!" So is this musical duo going to be wearing their glares even in the auditorium?
